Ziplines are an easy way to get from one point to another. The Zipline Mod brings the magic of ziplines into the Minecraft world, making it easy for players to travel around the map. Players can use ziplines to quickly climb vertical cliffs or to get from a high point to a low point very quickly.

In order to use ziplines, players must first craft a number of special items. The mod features crafting recipes for rope, handlebars, arrows, and a zipline bow, among other things. The zipline bow is used to fire off an ‘arrow with rope’. When that arrow with rope comes into contact with the ground, it will automatically create a length of zipline along which players can easily travel.

Ziplines can be used to climb to high spots on the map or to swing down to lower spots. As you can imagine, climbing upwards is significantly slower than sliding downwards. However, ziplines are considerably faster than walking, especially if you’re in a biome with lots of mountains.

Ziplines are particularly useful for getting up vertical surfaces. The zipline can be strung along a vertical wall. Players simply walk up to the rope and it acts as a ladder, making it easy to reach the summit of any nearby mountain.

For whatever reason, the zipline mod also includes an item called ‘placeable leather’ that can be pasted onto any wall or surface. The mod creator doesn’t explain the purpose of this leather, but the rest of the items are directly used to create ziplines that get you from Point A to Point B.

Whether you’re seeking a faster way to travel around the map or you just want to speed through the treetops like you’re on a real zipline tour, the Zipline Mod can help your zipline dreams come true.
