Torch Levers [v1.2] for Minecraft [1.5.0/1.5.1] [Forge] is a simple addition in the heaven of Minecraft mods. It’s not so much complex rather it’s a kind of cozy mod. It looks quite good with the new item, the torch lever.  Though it has resemblance with a torch it works like a wall lever. The latest version of it has got three camouflaged buttons.

How to configure the Texture Pack

You have to configure the buttons for the proper appearances in the proper places if you are using a texture pack. There are 3 buttons available. Each of the buttons has two positions and each position has 4 settings. That makes 24 configuration settings.

Step 1: First of all check the button configuration by running the game with the initially generated configuration file. It is recommended to use a book button on the top-left and bottom-right of a bookshelf block, a brick button similarly on a brick block, and finally test the top-left/bottom-right of a nether brick block and button. If this configuration seems legit, decent and easy then you are done, that’s it.

Step 2: If still it peeps into your mind that the configuration doesn’t seem good enough then you still get the chance to fix it.

Open the configuration file; on windows it might be located at %appdata%/.minecraft/config/TorchLevers.cfg, if you’re using a mod manager then you’ll have to find where it keeps MineCraft instances. It will always be named “TorchLevers.cfg”, and it’s position will always be in the config folder.

Step3: Now decide yourself where to put the buttons. You need to have a look on the bookshelf, brick, and after brick textures. Here a vanilla graphics has been used for example.

Step 4: Now edit the configuration values for each pixel offset like topBookTop is for the top of the top-left book, bottomBookLeft is for the left of the bottom-right book. The values here actually denote the number of pixels from the top or left pixel. These values will work with the texture packs independent of the resolution.

Step 5: Last of all save the configuration file. Now start up the game and look everything will be good and clear as crystal.
