RedPower 2 changes a number of things about Minecraft’s redstone. Essentially, it makes redstone more versatile and easier to work with. With RedPower, players can separate redstone so as not to interfere with the surrounding redstone, and they can place things like control centers, machines, lighting displays, and wiring all over the world.
Players can also use RedPower to upgrade their repeater in many different ways. Players can make stone wafers, stone wire, stone cathodes, stone anodes, and a pointer, all of which can be used in RedPower’s machinery.
RedPower also seeks to add logical sequences into the game, making it easier for players to program complex machines. Logic features include things like a screwdriver, redstone timer, redstone sequencer, pulse former, and toggle latch.
There are also tools like an RS latch, NOR gate, NAND gate, AND gate, OR gate, XNOR gate, and XOR gate. In some form or another, all of these gates allow players to implement logic-based features into the game, paving the way for the creation of more powerful machines than ever before. Rounding out the list of new items are a buffer gate, multiplexer, counter, and a repeater.
Of course, you might not know what all of those new items do. For a full list of descriptions, check out the official RedPower 2 forum thread.
Another cool feature in RedPower 2 is the ability to create lantern blocks that can be powered by redstone. These blocks can be linked together to create a timer or countdown sequence, and it’s a great way to make your machines look better than ever before.
If you’ve ever wanted to create cool new machines or Minecraft, or show off your programming and logic skills, then check out the RedPower redstone power mod. With plenty of new items and a whole array of new computing tools, you’ll be creating cool (and useful!) machines in no time.
