Most of us have fond memories of Pokemon growing up. Some Minecraft players might still play Pokemon to this day. If you’ve ever dreamed of combining the world of Pokemon with the world of Minecraft, then PokeMobs 1.4.7 is here to make that dream come true.

PokeMobs adds all sorts of Pokemon-related features into Minecraft. It adds a complete party system, for example, as well as integrated XP and evolutionary systems. Players can also craft pokeballs to capture new Pokemon. As of now, there are 26 Pokemon in the mod, although the eventual goal is to include all 151 original Pokemon.

Most of the starting area Pokemon have been included into the game, including Pidgey, Caterpie, Rattata, and all of their evolved forms. There are also the three player-chosen Pokemon – Squirtle, Charmander, and Bulbasaur as well as their evolved forms. A few obscure Pokemon have also been added into the PokeMobs mod, including Farfetch, Vulpix, and even MissingNo.

While the Pokemon are a big part of this mod, there are also a number of cool new gameplay elements. Players start by crafting various types of pokeballs. They can capture other Pokemon and form a party filled with creatures for protection, for example.

During a fight, health bars and nameplates appear above all the Pokemon involved. After winning a fight, Pokemon gain XP and can evolve. If your Pokemon have been damaged in a fight, you can even craft a healing table to restore their health.

Ultimately, the mod’s creator wants to add all 151 Pokemon into the game. While there are only 26 Pokemon so far, each creature has its own unique models, attitudes, and attacks. Adding a new Pokemon into the game isn’t as simple as some people think.

The PokeMobs mod is currently in development, and future versions of the mod will look extremely cool. The mod’s creator, seagoingmanatee, wants to add gyms and towns to each biome, giving players new challenges as they explore the land. He also wants to add multiplayer support, Team Rocket attacks, new items, and an improved battle system.

We can’t wait to see what PokeMobs 1.4.7 has to offer in the future. For now, it’s one of the coolest mods available today, and any Minecraft player who has played Pokemon should try it out.
