It’s great to be greeted by the Aquaculture Mod for Minecraft 1.5.2. It’s a wonderful addition. This mod is considered to be an expansion of Minecraft’s fishing system. In Aquaculture mod you have none the least knowledge of what you’ll catch. Each biome is place of tons of unique fish you can only catch in that biome, and there’s a myriad of new loot items you can catch casually while fishing. All of this features have been made conceivable by simply crafting the Iron Fishing Rod.

The Iron Fishing Rod

This fresh glossy addition is actually a doorway to your journey into Aquaculture! If you just simply craft it will allow all the features of the mod to be enabled. By using a new fishing rod, I was able to avoid making base class edits to the game which would rigorously hamper any compatibility with other mods as well as continuously complicating multiplayer/updates.

There have some plans for fresh and improved fishing rods that will enhance your opportunities to have cooler loot while fishing (Gold, Diamond, and Neptunium are all planned!)

The Fishables

This is the part you’ve all been waiting for, Aquaculture’s 32+ new fish and 12+ fishable loot items!

For the most part Aquaculture acts like reality, the new fish are mostly real species that have been translated into Minecraft.
