Hey guys, If you haven’t already heard there will be another update sometime this week for Minecraft 1.2.5 and with this version actually comes a good amount of new features and bug fixes which I am sure everyone is looking forward too.

The updated LWJGL has been included in this update rather than the expected 1.3 update which is really good news.

Some other new features include:

- If you use a flint and steel to punch a TNT Block will destroy and drop a TNT block, if you right click it with the flint and steel it will activate the TNT as usual.

- If you use a stack of bowls on mooshrooms will not consume the whole stack of bowls.

- The direct connect dialog with now remember the last IP for the current session.

- Cats are less likely to sit on things and they are less patient.

- All ghost entities have been removed under the command of lord herobrine.

- Changing commands with not be “matching”, “/stopserver” will not call “/stop”.

Fixes inclue:

- You are now able to click coloured links.

- The / key bug has been fixed.

- Fixed a bug when posting certain characters in chat.

- Various chat crash bugs fixed.

- Potential issue with door detection in the villages, which could cause to many villagers.

- Issues with the sound turning off in certain environments has been fixed.

- An issue with world generation failing has been fixed.

- The issue of wild ocelots behaving like cats has been fixed.

All in all this update seems pretty worthwhile, rather that waiting until the end of April or even longer for the 1.3 update.

Minecraft 1.3 Upcoming Features

Minecraft 1.3 Update

With the nearly featureless release of 1.2.4 yesterday I am sure there are plenty of you out there wondering what upcomming features there are to look forward to with the next Minecraft 1.3 update.

Well lucky for you I have some early information on planned changes we should expect to see in the Minecraft 1.3 release.

First of this feature has not been 100% confirmed by many believe it will be in the next update of Minecraft. You might of heard of it before it is the Circle Stone Brick recipe, it will be a new recipe for creating Circle Stone Brick.

Confirmed Minecraft 1.3 Features

The rest of these features have been confirmed as being in the next release of Minecraft 1.3.

Firstly we have an updated LWJGL, what is LWJGL you say? LWJGL stands for Lightweight Java Game Library it is a solution that is aimed directly at Java programmers to use Java to create quality games by giving them access to powerful high speed cross platform libraries such as OpenGL, OpenCL and OpenAL, these make it possible to create quality 3D games with 3D sound. Minecraft already uses LWJGL but it is updating to a newer version which should make a noticable difference in the game.

Next we have a fix for the glitchy mob movement, a lot of people thought they would have implemented this in 1.2.4 but they have promised it will be done for Minecraft 1.3

Another thing that has been said about the glitchy mob movement bug is that they have having to do some major internal changes to the game which will all be done for 1.3.

Now this is the last confirmed feature, and you know the saying save the best for last? Well I have done. At long last Mojang have confirmed that we will finally see a Modding API in version 1.3 which I am sure will make a lot of modders very very happy. This will make the process of updating mods so much simpler than ever before and we can expect to see mod updates quicker that ever before! This will also keep us very busy here at Free Minecraft Mods so very are extremely happy about it.

That’s all i’ve got for now but if I have any other updates or confirmed features for Minecraft 1.3 I will post them here.

Hey guys just a short post this time. If you would like to Downgrade Minecraft 1.2.4, it is very simple to do, and I talked about it in one of my previous posts. You can use this tool to change your Minecraft Version to any previous release, and then you can easily change it back. It will not effect your game account what so ever, everything will be safe!

Some of you may have used this tool before and the developers (Flippit) deserve much credit, as they have helped a lot of us out when we make that fatal mistake of upgrading our Minecraft client, without checking to see if our favourite server has been updated as well.

So cut the short story short :) Download Minecraft Version Changer by Flippit Here

Minecraft 1.2.4 is out! The guys over at Mojang are just bashing out the updates now, I can barely keep up with them!  You are probably thinking what is new in the 1.2.4 update? Well that is why I am here to tell you.

Jeb said yesturday that he was thinking of pushing the 1.2.4 release Today but I thought he was having a bit of a Joke with the amount of updates we’ve seen in the past few weeks, boy was I wrong!

Jeb has been away for a short vacation and to visit the Game Developer’s Conference, and while he was away on his jollys the new Minecraft team members EvilSeph, Tahg, Grum and Dinnerbone stepped up and go right to work fixing a lot of the bugs in Minecraft 1.2.

Even though it is a full update there are very few new features but many many bug fixes, I will quickly go over the features here

Minecraft 1.2.4 Features

- A Chat History feature has been added to the game, allowing you to read back through some previous chats.

- Some amazing new Chat Editing features and controls, they have even made it so you can now mark text!

- New decoration blocks!

Let me know what you think about the new Minecraft 1.2.4 update by leaving a comment below.

P.S I will be migrating the server due the heavy amount of traffic I’ve been receiving recently, this will eliminate all the errors whilst trying to load Free Minecraft Mods.
